Spider-Man under the ceiling.
For the toy store on Corso Francia, a life-size Spider-Man hung from the store ceiling — the flying pose, the web shot, the gaze toward the child walking in.
Behind the scenes
Visual merchandising craft,
life-size.
Sculptures for toy retail follow different rules from a theme park. The space is enclosed and lit with flat light, the distance to the audience is close, and the official license of the character imposes strict chromatic and proportional fidelity.
The official Marvel palette
Marvel characters have a defined chromatic palette: Spider-Man's red is Pantone red 485, the blue is blue 2756. Working under license means respecting those colour codes — not because the child knows it, but because the shop owner and the brand do. The finish is saturated acrylic, in glazes, with the black web incised directly into the styrofoam before lacquering.
The flying pose
Spider-Man flies everywhere — the character doesn't walk, he swings between skyscrapers. The scenographic pose has to give back the sense of dynamic movement: right arm outstretched to the web shot, left leg tucked, torso slightly twisted. The pose study starts from comic frames and reference films.
The ceiling attachment
The suspension of a permanent sculpture in a store frequented by children has precise constraints: the two attachment points must bear the weight of the piece for years, with a wide safety margin, and must remain visually hidden behind the suit. Steel brackets embedded in the structure, minimal visible cables, verified static calculation.

The visual merchandising
of large retail.
The permanent sculpture for toy retail is a small transversal strand of our repertoire. It's the same craft — licensed proportions, brand palettes, structural attachment — that we apply to the ACME props of the Looney Tunes for Warner, to the oversize sculpts of Il Braccio e la Mente and to the giant LEGO bricks of Italia's Got Talent.
The specific difference of retail is the permanence in an enclosed space: years of exposure, constant artificial lighting, close visual contact with the audience. Materials must hold, colour must not fade, the structure must stay in pose without sagging.
