Huntik 5D.
The largest 5D video game in Europe — an interactive adventure in the bowels of the earth searching for the Titans, drawn from Iginio Straffi's animated series. Awarded best new attraction at the Parksmania Awards 2011.
Behind the scenes
Mobile vehicles + 5D screens
+ carved scenography.
The interactive 5D dark ride is one of the most complex attraction types: it combines vehicle mechanics (rails, rotation, tilting), game electronics (laser guns, point counting) and physical scenography that serves as backdrop to the screens. Our piece is the third.
The prehistoric cavern
The path scenography evokes a prehistoric cavern with stalactites, rocky walls, cave entrances. They are sculpted in high-density expanded polystyrene, stiffened in fibreglass. The finish is in grey-brown acrylic glazes with deep chiaroscuro in the recesses, so the 5D projection light highlights them at the right moments.
The Titan amulets
In the animated series, each Titan is imprisoned in an amulet — gemstone or pendant the Seeker wears at the neck. For the dark ride's path we deliver the monumental amulets sculpted in full round: five-six times the real object's size in the cartoon, mounted as archaeological finds in the cavern. Metallised finish with chromatic effects for each specific Titan.
The 2022 restyling
After eleven years of operation, in 2022 the attraction underwent a major restyling for the season reopening: new exterior colours with brighter tones, renewed interior projectors. Our physical scenographic part remained in the original structure, with exterior chromatic touch-up to align it with the new visual tone.

Second life
The cavern survives
eleven years of Titans.
The physical scenographic part of the attraction we delivered is still today on its path — eleven years of operation, transition of management from Rainbow Spa to Pillarstone Italy (KKR) in 2018, the 2022 restyling with exterior chromatic touch-up. The prehistoric cavern and the Titan amulets are still in place.
The interactive dark ride with sculpted scenography is a typology we have applied multiple times. The logic of «screen + physical scenography» returns in the scenography of the Indiana Adventure gate at Cinecittà World, in the Walibi Bollywood food truck settings and in the wings of Chi ha incastrato Peter Pan with the transformer robot.
